The
Department of Computer Science, Mathematics,
and Engineering at
Shepherd University has been
awarded an NSF S-STEM grant ($627,010 for June 2013 - May 2018, award
No. 1259713). The goal of this grant is to increase enrollment,
retention, graduation, and the proportion of graduating S-STEM scholars
who continue graduate studies or find employment in CME fields:
Computer Information Science (CIS), Computer Information
Technology (CIT), Mathematics (MATH), or Computer
Engineering (CPE). The awards are both merit- and need-based. Recipients will be awarded a maximum of $10,000 depending on individual demonstrated financial need. It is expected incoming freshmen graduate in 4 years and transfer students graduate in 2 years with the aid of this scholarship. Program participants will receive financial, academic, social, and career support from a variety of CME S-STEM club activities. |
